We are working with a hyper-scaling technology company seeking a commercial counsel to support it's sales and go-to-market operations. Candidates should have the demonstrated ability to handle a high volume of contracts within a high growth environment. Candidates should have experience working closely with fast-moving sales and business teams. The right person will act as a true extension of the in-house team - highly available, business-oriented, and comfortable operating independently in a high-volume environment.

This is a 6-month contract

Role: Commercial Counsel

Location: Remote - US

Hours: 40 hours per week

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 6 months

Compensation: $100–$120/hour (equivalent of $200k - $240k annualized)

Role Description

• Support commercial legal work in a high-volume, nuanced environment
\n
• Negotiate directly with enterprise counterparties and hold their own on calls
\n
• Act as a seamless extension of the in-house legal team rather than traditional outside counsel
\n
• Provide reliable overflow coverage with strong availability and responsiveness
\n

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Lead and negotiate outbound sales agreements with enterprise clients
\n
• Advise on contracts across a range of technology environments
\n
• Partner with cross functional stakeholders to deliver practical, business oriented legal guidance
\n
• Synthesize inputs and provide clear recommendations and next steps
\n

Qualifications

\n
• 7+ years of B2B legal experience drafting and negotiating commercial and technology agreements
\n
• Comfortable negotiating against large enterprise counterparties
\n
• Experience at growth-stage or scaling technology companies, ideally supporting sales and GTM teams
\n
• High EQ and strong communication skills in fast-moving environments
\n
• Sound judgment - willing to ask questions, raise concerns, and avoid overconfidence
\n
• Strong discretion and professionalism
