Administrative Assistant I
We are pleased to recruit for a company whose corporate purpose is to create chemistry for a sustainable future and has been doing so for 150 years. Their portfolio ranges from chemicals, plastics, performance products and crop protection products to oil and gas. Their products and solutions contribute to conserving resources, ensuring nutrition and improving quality of life. Our client is expanding and seeking an Administrative Assistant I in Spring, TX.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for receiving, opening, sorting, and processing incoming mail and packages.
· Reviews documents to determine the appropriate virtual mailroom destination and scans documents for electronic distribution.
· Uploads scanned documents to SharePoint sites and accurately updates metadata fields in accordance with established procedures.
· Processes document packages ranging from approximately 5 to 100 pages while ensuring image quality and document completeness.
· Handles mail containing refund checks and other financial instruments, determining, and applying the appropriate endorsement stamp based on documented procedures.
· Identifies and reroutes misdirected mail using established routing guides and reference materials.
· Maintains and updates reroute examples and processing documentation as new scenarios are identified.
Requirements:
· Mail Processing & Routing
· Ability to open, sort, classify, and route incoming mail and packages according to established business procedures and routing guidelines.
· Document Scanning & Electronic Records Management (Virtual Mailroom/SharePoint)
· Experience scanning, indexing, uploading, and managing electronic documents in SharePoint or similar document management systems.
· Data Entry, Metadata Management & Attention to Detail
· Experience accurately updating metadata, maintaining tracking records, handling financial documents/checks, and ensuring data quality in a high-volume environment.
Must have a valid driver’s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.

Pay Rate: The pay range for this position is $17.90 - $18.90 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
Work Schedule : Onsite M-F; Standard - 5 days on / 2 days off - 5 days on / 2 days off
